Try This at Home: Flower Bombing!

LOUISVILLE, KY – guerrilla gardening at its finest!
6 hippies
+ 5lbs dirt & clay
= 1 truckbed full of dreams.

Please note: NO ILLEGAL ACTS were committed during the course of this exercise. Though it did feel strangely badass.

  1. You can bomb me anytime.

  2. It looks like you were throwing them into peoples’ yards…does that really do much good? If it were my yard and random plants started coming up, I’d pull them up, thinking they were weeds.

  3. Yep, I agree: it completely looks that way. That’s how the video turned out, but it’s not accurate.

Most of the flowers went along the roadsides; we generally avoided yards for the exact reason you guessed at. The yard you saw us walking up to was actually an abandoned lot.

The roadside stuff was hard to film because we were moving fast, so this is the only footage that worked out. Good catch, and I agree with you completely.

  4. Flower Bombing, cool!

  5. I would love to see a follow up video where you drive the same route to see how many of the flowers actually took. =p

  6. Me too! I asked my friends to return in a few weeks and take some photos for me to post here, but I’m not sure it ever happened. Too bad.
