This is such a great idea! Cheaper than hotels and so much more interesting too. It just shows that no matter your budget, everyone can afford to travel and experience new people and places.

Although i am in travel business, it took a while until the news reached me. Quite unconventional way of traveling, skeptics might say.

Having browsed through several member profiles and reading through testimonials of people who have chosen to travel this way, I am convinced unconventional is not bad at all.

Hey, we are couch surfers, too! But, we’re up in Leander (just NW of Austin proper). We’ve had nothing but positive experiences hosting people. In fact, we’ve got three such vagabonds staying with us now — a single mom and her son, plus a wild bearded hippie friend who also happens to be my eldest son’s godfather.
