Hi Jessica,
It’s great to find your blog. I hope there is more. My son,Jeff, who lives in Taos, is moving into an Earthship home and looking forward to working on the new visitor center, so it is great to learn more about how they are constructed, and what it’s like living there. I took the tour a few years ago, but I live in Vermont, and it may be a while before I get there again.Good luck in your travels.

Good for you! Earth ships have always fascinated me! I came across a book at the library that I thought you might like – “Tales of a Female Nomad” by Rita Golden Gelman. Check it out.

Ray, yes they do! It requires a certain amount of customization for varying climates, but I’m told they will work anywhere in the world (as long as you get at least 8 inches of rain a year).
