Art of Dandelion: Bindu Jewelry

“Nobody works bronze like I do,” Candace Stolley says with a big smile. Since she’s emphatically not the type to brag, I know it’s got to be the truth.

Bindu Jewelry started in the 1960s as Candace’s brainchild. Bronze artisanry would become her medium for self-expression, and a viable way to support her creative lifestyle without submitting to those brain-stunting “jobs” you’ve all heard of. Sure, lots of people attempt to go down this path–but few have the depth of talent and inspiration that blesses Candace.

40 years down the road, Candace says she doesn’t know of anyone at her skill level who is still working in bronze. In fact, she has to create jewelry in silver and gold as well, just so she can exhibit in the West Coast’s top jewelry shows. There simply isn’t anybody else who does what she does—at least, not that she’s heard of lately.

Cruise the Bindu Jewelry website! Trust me, you’ll be amazed at her work, which sells for thousands of dollars and is favorited by private collectors. The income from jewelry sales largely supports Dandelion Farm’s efforts.

In recent years, as Dandelion has grown, Candace’s work has gotten much bigger—but it’s no less complex and inspiring. In truth, this place wouldn’t be the same without such huge artistic contributions from the hearts and hands of Candace and Loren. It’s the art that sets this place apart, and deservedly so.
